Wind Energy Development in Indonesia

Encouraging and unlocking investment for wind energy power development in Indonesia, is challenged by the prevalence of limited information on wind data and energy potential, as well as ambiguous permitting processes and regulations. The project aims to provide assistance to identify such barriers, in order to assess and develop de-riskig measures, including the collection of area-specific wind-speed data, land, road and grid access and other risk areas. The project will also focus on sharing information about permitting processes and conduct a pre-feasibility study for promising sites. The final report of the project will assess the feasibility and development maturity of wind sites, listing potential sources of funding against preferred financial mechanisms.
