ETP is supporting the Department of Energy (DOE) by providing studies that explore potential macroeconomic implications, workforce risks, and social impacts at the community level of a domestic coal mining phaseout. With particular attention to site-specific assessments such as Semirara Island, Antique, this technical assistance seeks to deliver insights that can inform evidence-based policies for a just and inclusive transition for the coal mining sector. Additionally, it will examine transition strategies and policy options to mitigate negative effects and ensure equitable outcomes.
