Development of the National Standards for Battery Energy Storage System
This project will develop a comprehensive set of national standards for battery energy storage systems (BESS), including recommendations for legal frameworks and institutional mechanisms to improve BESS safety, reliability, and efficiency. A study report analyzing existing regulations and proposing new standards has been completed. A finalized list of standards will be delivered following review by government and private sect
or stakeholders. The project will facilitate the growth of the BESS sector in alignment with Power Development Plan 8, enhancing grid reliability, promoting industry development, and supporting the integration of renewable energy.
