Enhancing Batteries’ Supply Chain for Electric Vehicles, Solar PVs, and Energy Storage Systems

This initiative, in collaboration with the Ministry of Finance, seeks to cement Vietnam’s strategic role in the global battery value chain by advocating for the formal recognition of EV and renewable-energy batteries as domestically manufactured goods. By engaging government agencies, private investors and industry associations, the project will develop targeted investment strategies to scale local production of batteries for electric vehicles and battery energy storage systems and solar PV, supporting Vietnam’s net-zero targets. Through policy advocacy, stakeholder mobilisation and economic-viability assessments, it aims to unlock the capital and partnerships needed to build a resilient, high-content battery supply chain that underpins Vietnam’s clean-energy and transport ambitions.
