The Southeast Asia Energy Transition Partnership (ETP) was recently awarded the first-ever Sustainable Energy Award by the Department of Energy (DOE) of the Philippines. The award ceremony, held at the Makati Diamond Residences, recognized key contributors in advancing renewable energy (RE) efforts in the country.
ETP’s Regional Coordinator, Maria Fritzie Vergel, accepted the award on behalf of the organization. In her acceptance speech, Fritzie reaffirmed ETP’s commitment to promoting the integration of renewable energy into the national grid. She also expressed gratitude to the DOE for their ongoing support in the successful implementation of collaborative projects.
ETP shared this prestigious recognition with other esteemed organizations, including UNDP, GIZ, USAID, EUU, and ICSC, as well as prominent entities like ACEN Corporation and the Provincial Government of Iloilo.
This award signifies ETP’s significant contributions to the Philippine energy sector through capacity-building, technical assistance, and policy development. As we celebrate this milestone, ETP remains dedicated to supporting governments across Southeast Asia in their transition towards a sustainable energy future.
Together, we strive to contribute to regional climate goals and foster resilient energy systems for generations to come.
