Last month (October, 2024) the Director of the Southeast Asia Energy Transition Partnership’s (ETP), Philip Rose, attended the Asia Clean Energy Summit (ACES) in Singapore. ACES is the region’s leading event focusing on clean energy technology, policy and finance. Held alongside Singapore International Energy Week, this year’s summit hosted a gathering of over 3,000 energy leaders from 53 countries.
As a panelist at the Clean Energy Leaders Dialogue on the topic of ‘Enhancing Cross Border Partnership Corridor Towards A Resilient, Net-Zero Future in Asia’ Mr. Rose highlighted ETP’s crucial support towards advancing the ASEAN Power Grid (APG). He emphasized the importance of the ASEAN Power Grid Advancement Program (APG-AP) in developing a robust framework to facilitate cross-border power trade and accelerate the region’s transition towards a sustainable net-zero energy future.
While in Singapore, ETP was also invited to engage with over 80 Asia-based philanthropies at a Philanthropic Alliance for Asia meeting, further solidifying its position as a key player in the region’s clean energy landscape.
Through active participation and contribution at ACES 2024, the summit was a provided a valuable platform for ETP to showcase its expertise and commitment to driving sustainable energy solutions in Southeast Asia.
