Studies on the Minimum Requirements for Multilateral Power Market and A Strategy to Establish A Multilateral Power Trade in ASEAN

Part of the ASEAN Power Grid Advancement Program (APG-AP)

This project supports the ASEAN Power Grid Advancement Program (APG-AP) by developing two key studies under AIMS III Phase 3: (1) Minimum Requirements for a Multilateral Power Market and (2) A Strategy to Establish Multilateral Power Trade in ASEAN.

These studies aim to lay the foundation for cross-border electricity trade across the region by addressing both technical and non-technical aspects, including institutional and policy frameworks. The project will help facilitate the implementation of multilateral power trade and the acceleration of regional energy integration, support renewable energy uptake, contributing to the development of a low-carbon power system in Southeast Asia.
