Indonesia

Specialized Workforce Development to Support Energy Transition

Indonesia’s energy transition is hindered by a shortage of skilled workers and resulting public resistance. This project, developed with MEMR and key ministries, aims to build a competent workforce to support clean energy infrastructure. It will produce a roadmap, implementation plan, and certified training for renewable energy (RE) and energy efficiency (EE) professions. Accredited Certificates of Competence (COCs) will be issued by BNSP or MEMR training bodies. Ultimately, it aims to boost job creation, accelerate RE deployment, and support Indonesia’s climate and NZE goals.
