Marine Spatial Planning Project

Part of the Offshore Wind Development Project

The Marine Spatial Planning (MSP) Project is aimed to support Philippine offshore wind development, reduce conflicts, and accelerate project timelines. The key deliverable is a GIS-based MSP tool that identifies and visualizes suitable zones for offshore wind energy, helping the Department of Energy plan more effectively. The tool provides strategic guidance to minimize environmental and sea-user conflicts and inform future policy development and early-stage environmental and social impact assessment.
