The Philippines currently lacks sufficient energy efficiency practitioners in each region to meet the compliance needs of establishments and industries. This gap is largely due to the limited number of Recognized Training Institutions (RTIs), with only six located in Metro Manila, leaving the other fifteen regions without access to essential training and certification. To address this, the project supports the Department of Energy – Energy Utilization Management Bureau (DOE-EUMB) in establishing RTIs throughout the country, aiming to produce qualified practitioners in every region.
