A Study on the Proposed Harmonisation of Grid Codes and Minimum Operational Technical Standards for Interconnections under the ASEAN Power Grid

Part of the ASEAN Power Grid Advancement Program (APG-AP)

As part of the ASEAN Interconnection Masterplan Study (AIMS) III Phase 3 supported by the ASEAN Power Grid Advancement Program (APG-AP), this project focuses on developing a proposed harmonisation strategy for grid codes and minimum operational technical standards across ASEAN member states. The study aims to assess existing technical arrangements in bilateral and sub-regional interconnections, benchmark international best practices, and provide concrete recommendations for regional harmonisation. The output of this project will serve as a reference for ASEAN’s efforts to implement the APG and promote low-carbon regional power systems.
