Energy Transition Partnership at COP28

ETP Takes Action at COP28 to Power Southeast Asia’s Climate Goals and Transition to Clean Energy

The Energy Transition Partnership is joining COP28 (the United Nations Climate Change Conference) from the 1st to the 10th of December, 2023 at the Expo City in Dubai, as part of its commitment to accelerate climate action in Southeast Asia.

At COP28, ETP will be showcasing its three-year progress in Indonesia, Philippines, and Vietnam, where it is working with partners to improve energy efficiency. By transitioning to clean energy and reducing emissions, Southeast Asia can avoid the worst impacts of climate change and create a more prosperous and sustainable future for all.

Currently working on 31 active projects across its partner countries, ETP’s work is essential to helping Southeast Asia meet its climate goals under the Paris Agreement, in line with the Sustainable Development Goals.

COP28 Side Events and Bilateral Meetings

In addition to its work on the ground, ETP will also be using COP28 to raise awareness of the climate crisis and discuss its progress with governments, philanthropies, and development partners.

At various COP28 side events and bilateral meetings, ETP will be sharing its insights on how to accelerate energy transition in Southeast Asia and build a more sustainable future for the region.
